Family Fun At Lake Tahoe

If you are planning a vacation to Lake Tahoe, there is no need to worry about running out of fun things to do. Lake Tahoe has a number of activities the whole family will enjoy. Besides the obvious choices like spending the whole day on the lake on a jet ski rental or ski boat rental, there are a number of activities on land and water your family can engage in.

Mini Golf

A traditional family-favorite outing is, of course, mini golf. Lake Tahoe offers several places to play a couple rounds of putt-putt. At Fantasy Kingdom Golf, you will find three different theme areas – Storybook, Castle, and Dinosaur. All of these are sure to entertain guests of all ages, so embrace your inner child and have a blast! Magic Carpet Golf is in the Lake Tahoe area too. Two colorful, 18-hole courses are ready to be played. This facility also offers batting cages; don’t forget to work on your swinging game before leaving Magic Carpet Golf.

Amusement Parks

If you are all put-putted-out take a day to visit the Tahoe Amusement Park! Located on 2401 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA, the amusement park can’t be far from where you’re staying. They’re open May through October, making it a perfect addition to any summer vacation. There is no admission to the park, but you must pay for tickets to ride the rides. Along with a variety of rides, you can visit this park’s snack bar, picnic area, and video arcade.

A Day On Lake Tahoe

Out of all the possible California vacation activities, it is very likely your kids will see the best attraction as Lake Tahoe itself. If you are new to the area, and not sure where to begin, check out the Round Hill Pines Beach and Marina. This is a great family-friendly area, which is perfect for docking your ski boat rentals or pontoon rentals while swimming.

Squaw Valley Swimming

Another fun water activity is visiting the Squaw Valley’s Swimming Lagoon and Spa. The lagoon and spa is surrounded by the Sierras and gives you great views of Lake Tahoe. The lagoon has 25-yard lap lanes and two islands landscaped with waterfalls and boulders. While your children enjoy swimming through the lagoon, you and your hubby can sit in the spa, relaxing in 102 degrees of refreshing water.

It doesn’t matter if you want to spend your vacation on land or in the water; Lake Tahoe has several family friendly attractions for all ages. If you know you’ll be hitting the lake at some point, contact H2O Rentals for all your aqua rentals, including jet ski rentals, pontoon boat rentals, and ski boat rentals. The guys can even leave the girls to relax at the Squaw Valley Lagoon and spend a day on the water in one of our fishing boat rentals. The possibilities are endless this time of year and the most important thing to do is, be safe, and have fun!
