Vikingsholm – This 38-room mansion was constructed in 1929, and is listed the National Register of Historic Places. Vikingsholm is considered to be one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture found in the United States.

Fannette Island – Located on Emerald Bay’s western coast, Fannette Island is the only island in all of Lake Tahoe. Fannette is also home to the “Tea House”, constructed around the same time as Vikingsholm.

Underwater Park – In 1994, Emerald Bay received the honor of becoming an underwater state park. Beneath the waters of Emerald Bay lie ships, launches, and barges from before the turn of the century. Scuba divers have the unique opportunity to travel below the waters and connect with Emerald Bay’s sunken past.
